DAY 1 Luang Prabang

As evening falls, unwind with a sunset cruise on the Mekong River, where golden light spills over rolling hills — the perfect end to a day in Luang Prabang.

You can milk and feed buffaloes, learn about the process of making local cheeses and yogurts, and enjoy buffalo milk ice cream in unique flavors like lemongrass or tamarind. After lunch at Ock Pop Tok Weaving Center, set in a tropical garden overlooking the Mekong River, return to the hotel for a short rest. Depart for Oudomxay and the beautiful Nam Kat Yola Pa National Park, a scenic half-day drive from Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, breathe in the crisp mountain air and let the tranquility of nature surround you. Begin your adventure with a short electric car ride through lush forest trails before setting out on a guided hike to the waterfall. The trail winds along narrow paths and hanging bridges, offering a touch of thrill and stunning forest views. At the waterfall, take time to relax or enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool, clear water before returning via a different route. In the late afternoon, transfer to your hotel for check-in and leisure.

DAY 5 Oudomxay

An electric car will come pick you up in the morning for a ride along narrow, winding roads through the thick forests. Upon arrival, you will start the nature hike to the waterfall. You will pass through small paths and cross narrow hanging bridges (canopy walk). Have a rest and entertain yourself at the waterfall then return to end your half-day activity in a complete loop. Enjoy your night with a dinner on your own expense.

DAY 6 Luang Prabang

At the scheduled time, transfer to the train station for your journey back to Luang Prabang, then continue to Pak Ou House. Upon arrival, settle in and take a guided village walk to experience local life. Join a local family to harvest vegetables and learn about traditional Lao farming before returning for a hands-on Lao cooking experience, preparing dinner alongside your hosts. As evening falls, unwind with a sunset cocktail on the terrace, savor Lao snacks and river views as the sun dips behind the jungle hills. End the day with a peaceful overnight stay at Pak Ou House.

DAY 7 Luang Prabang

Continue to the sacred Pak Ou Caves, either by taking a short forest hike through a hidden trail or a local boat ride along the Mekong River. Inside the caves, marvel at thousands of Buddha statues and learn about their deep spiritual significance. Meet Tiao Nithakhong Somsanith, a true master of Lao art and culture. Born into a noble family in Luang Prabang, he is renowned for his deep knowledge of Northern Laos’ heritage. After a warm welcome at his residence, guests will enjoy an insightful introduction to local life and culture, followed by a Soukhouan Baci blessing ceremony. Tiao will then share his artistic passions, from flower arranging and embroidery to stenciling and watercolor painting, offering a rare glimpse into Lao craftsmanship. End the day with a delightful dinner at Manda de Laos.
