Begin your adventure with an early transfer to the Chiang Khong border, where you’ll meet the cruise assistant and cross into Laos to embark on the Le Grand Cruise. After a warm welcome and boarding at 8:30 a.m., relax on your traditional slow boat journey down the Mekong River toward Pakbeng. Enjoy a delicious lunch served on board as you take in the stunning riverside scenery and visit a Khmu ethnic village to observe local traditions and daily life. Arrive in Pakbeng by late afternoon, check in to your bungalow at Mekong Villa, and unwind with drinks by the pool terrace while watching the sunset over the Mekong River.

This morning, you will experience up-close elephant interactions through the sustainable and educational activities at the Mekong Elephant Camp. The camp will offer private morning activities that aim to raise awareness of the issues faced by Asian elephants and support conservation efforts through ecotourism. Upon arrival at the Vang Vieng station, your private transfer will take you directly to the Riverside Boutique Resort for check-in. In the early afternoon, your adventure begins with a 14-kilometer drive north of town to the H'mong village of Phatha, the starting point of your hike. The trail winds through lush rice fields set against dramatic limestone peaks, with shaded forest paths offering a refreshing walk. Along the way, explore Tham Loup Cave and Tham Hoi Cave, before continuing into the mountain terrain. In the afternoon, you will set out to explore the charming capital city. You will discover Vientiane’s key highlights, which will include the golden spire of Pha That Luang, Laos's most sacred monument; the impressive Arc de Triomphe-style arch of Patuxai; and the peaceful temple of Wat Si Saket, known for its thousands of miniature Buddha statues. To conclude your day, you will head to La Seine Hotel to enjoy a special Sunset Cocktail on the rooftop, offering magnificent views over the Mekong River as the sun sets.

After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for your flight from Vientiane to Pakse, the gateway to southern Laos. Upon arrival, you will begin your journey to the lush Bolaven Plateau, a region famed for its cool climate, fertile volcanic soil, and world-class coffee. Here, you will visit a local coffee plantation to learn about traditional growing and roasting techniques, with the chance to sample a freshly brewed cup.
Next, you will continue on to one of the plateau’s spectacular waterfalls, where powerful cascades plunge dramatically into green valleys, creating a refreshing natural retreat.After lunch, you will travel south towards Siphandon, the fabled “4000 Islands” region of the Mekong River, known for its tranquil charm and laid-back lifestyle. A boat will take you to your island accommodation, where you can relax amidst the serene beauty of the river at sunset.

After breakfast, you will begin by setting off towards the East of Don Khone island to discover the local life and enjoy incredible views of the river. You will visit the small southern village of Ban Hang Khone, with a stunning panoramic view of the Mekong Delta. Following this, head to the famous Liphi Waterfalls, the largest waterfall in Laos by volume. There, the suspended bridges will offer you a unique experience to discover the falls up close and feel the power of the rumbling water. You will then see the old French colonial locomotive before continuing along the old train route across the island back to the starting point. In the afternoon, you will embark on a Mekong River Life excursion, guided by local villagers. You will continue exploring another island before cruising back to Don Det pier, gaining a deeper appreciation for the rhythms of life along the Mekong.

After breakfast, you will depart from Siphandon and travel to Champasak, stopping en route to visit the mighty Khone Phapheng Waterfalls, often referred to as the “Niagara of the East.” As the largest cascade in Southeast Asia, the falls will be an awe-inspiring sight, with the Mekong River thundering over jagged rocks and sending mist into the air. You will continue to Champasak, a charming riverside town with a laid-back atmosphere. In the late afternoon, you will board a boat for a leisurely sunset cruise on the Mekong. As the sun sinks low over the river, you will enjoy the serene landscapes and golden reflections on the water.

This morning, you will explore Wat Phou, a pre-Angkorian temple complex listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. On arrival at the base of the sacred Mount Phou Kao, you will walk along the ancient axis delimited by stone pillars, which leads to the first terrace. Here, you will see the ruined Khmer Hindu palaces adorned with fine sculptures. From there, antique stairs bordered by frangipani trees will climb up to a third temple with a unique structure dedicated to Lord Shiva. Your stroll will continue behind the temple, where you can see the natural spring and animal carvings directly on the stone, before stepping back down to the entrance.

After breakfast, you will enjoy a leisurely morning in Champasak before transferring to Pakse. From here, you will continue overland to Ubon Ratchathani Airport in Thailand to catch your onward flight to Bangkok (BKK), where your Laos journey concludes.
