60 Minutes with A Family of Talented Artists

Not far from the city’s center, lies a quiet corner where we meet a family of music lovers in their cozy home. Three generations of the family have shared the same passion for traditional Vietnamese music and achieved their own success and recognition. In one hour, we get a glimpse into the country’s rich cultural heritage, talk to talented artists, listen to the soulful melodies of simple and rustic musical instruments, and discover the stories behind each song they choose to play.

A beautiful slide of Vietnam is revealed with the soulful and beautiful melodies of simple and rustic musical instruments (without electric amplification.) It’s truly incredible and memorable when we listen to rocks and bamboo pipes “speak” their own languages. Each song is chosen carefully with a story hidden behind that tells Vietnam’s culture and family pride. Feel free to ask questions and learn to play some unique instruments in a hands-on lesson after the wonderful concert.
