Exploring Hanoi Countryside & Village Life

Seventy-five kilometers from Hanoi, at the foot of Ba Vi mountain, the ancestral mountain of Vietnam, lies an idyllic countryside. Let's explore Ba Vi countryside with tea picking, home cooking, village cycling, and authentic family encounters on a full-day eco tour.

Seventy-five kilometers from Hanoi, at the foot of Ba Vi mountain, the ancestral mountain of Vietnam, lies an idyllic countryside. Mr. Duoc, a veteran, welcomes you to his house, nestled beautifully in a luxurious garden. Sip a cup of green tea and listen to him tell his stories as a soldier in the Vietnam War and, later, a worker at a tea factory.  You might have a chance to meet three generations in his family living under the same roof - a typical lifestyle of Vietnamese families. After the talk, you will briefly walk on dirt roads to visit his tea farm and learn to pick tea buds under his guidance. See how the family traditionally processes the tea to retain the maximum amount of the tea leaf’s nutrients.

Say goodbye to Mr. Duoc to visit another local house, which is only a 10-minute drive away, where you will learn to cook Vietnamese dishes and have lunch under the big canopy of a lychee tree. It’s a pleasure to know that most of the vegetables in our meals come from the nearby garden. After lunch, you will cycle with Mrs. Chin, the home host. You will naturally be drawn to beautiful scenery like the Ba Vi Mountains, Da River, grasslands, rice fields, and arrowroots during the ride. You will cycle through primary schools, village community houses, and ancient tile-roofed houses, and will be welcomed with warm smiles by the locals. Stop by to visit families who run small businesses, supplying products directly to the villagers. Your cycling will finish with a relaxing herbal foot bath.
A peaceful and authentic Vietnamese rural countryside, along with kind-hearted people, can all be found on this tour.
