If you are looking to utilize your time on vacation, this Laos tour is for you. In 12 days, visit five different cities and provinces with a completely different experience each day. From kayaking at Luang Prabang, you will go on a two-day trek to the top of Phu Ya Ka mountain, where you will stay the night by setting up a campfire on the mountain itself. Next, the trip will take you to Vientiane, the capital of Laos, where you will visit four different city highlights Vientiane has to offer. Next, you will be exploring Konglor Cave, going through the longest underworld crossings on earth, visiting Tan Khankeo Village, and visiting a hidden cave. Lastly, the trip will end at Pakse, where you will take a cycling tour around the hidden trails, visiting multiple attractions along the way.

Experience a three-hour kayaking trip down a calm stretch of the Nam Ou River, arriving at the towering cliffs near the confluence of the river with the larger Mekong before visiting the mysterious Pak Ou Caves where thousands of Buddha statues gaze out over the murky waters. Return and continue to visit the Night Bazaar, a local night market to acquire traditional handicrafts as well as try exotic street food. Lunch and dinner will be included.
After your breakfast, travel to Oudomxay, a province known for its cultural beauty and natural richness. For the rest of the day, take your time enjoying all the benefits and untouched surrounding nature at Nam Kat Resort, a unique retreat nestled within protected forests along the Nam Kat river.

Start the adventure at Nam Kat Yolapa National Park, and trek to the top of Phu Ya Ka Mountain. Cross through the jungle and admire the natural environment of fauna and flora. After a picnic lunch, the climb to the summit continues and finishes before sunset. After that, enjoy a lovely dinner around the campfire, taking in the view of the beautiful sky as the sun comes down. Camp overnight on the mountain top.

Awaken above the sea of mist and witness the sun slowly rising and filling the atmosphere. After breakfast, a trek back down to the valley will start, going past multiple scenic points along the way.
Feel free to take the morning to recharge and enjoy the beautiful scenes of the resort. Hop on a three-hour express train trip heading to Vientiane, the capital city of Laos.
From morning to afternoon, go on a trip around the city, including Vat Sisaket, Vat Phra Keo, Pha That Louang, and Patuxay. Lunch at a local restaurant. After the trip, stroll along the Mekong River and catch the sunset, ending a day filled with activities.

Leaving Vientiane, a trip down the southeast will take you to Hinboun. Along the trip, stop by a 15th-century stupa, a hill-tribe market. Arriving in Hinboun in the late afternoon, you will be welcomed by a Baci Ceremony performed in your special honor. Then, have a chat with the locals to understand more about the ritual, while sharing a drink.
Today's highlightsDiscover the other side of Konglor cave
Today, you will discover the other side of Konglor cave. After passing through the 7.5 km cave aboard a long tail boat, you’ll take a toktok (local tractor) to reach the small village of Tan Khankeo. Lao-style lunch at a local family. Afterwards, the villagers will take you for a surprising walk to a beautiful cave known as Tham Hom and explain how they collect bat’s guano to naturally fertilize the soil of their fields and rice paddies.
After breakfast, you’ll say goodbye to the fantastic scenery of the Konglor area and relax on a leisurely drive to Pakse. Lunch at a local restaurant. Check in at the hotel and relax.
Start up North to the village of Ban Don Khor for its sandstone carvings and giant Buddha temple. Visit Ban Saphai, where you will use the boat to get to Don Kho Island. Have a break along the way for a picnic lunch. Then, continue past the village of Ban Saman, and see various rice fields and local farms. Lastly, climb to Mount Phu Salao, to admire an amazing panorama of the Mekong River and Pakse and visit a local market on the way back.
