You will travel to the North through rise and fall hills and winding rivers to untouched communities of small hill tribes dressed up beautifully and colorfully. This part of Laos also offers some of the best trekking trails and protected national parks to get in touch with nature.

DAY 1 Luang Prabang

First day step in beautiful Laos, upon arrival at Luang Prabang airport, you will be welcomed by your local guide and head to your hotel for check-in.

 

DAY 2 Luang Prabang

Today's highlightsSa paper village of Ban Xang Khong

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

This morning, start the biking journey to see the UNESCO-protected city before the weather gets too hot. Visit some of the oldest temples and famous historical places from the top of the mysterious Phousi Mountain. Then, cross the old bridge and follow a quiet road to the Sa paper village of Ban Xang Khong, the ideal place to do some souvenir shopping or learn about the paper-making process. Lunch is included.

DAY 3 Luang Prabang

Today's highlightsHike to Kuang Sy waterfalls

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast at the hotel, begin a short trip to meet the Hmong ethnic community and watch the sights of Ban Long Lao Kao village. Walk through the vegetable gardens, rice fields and forests to the famous Kuang Si waterfalls and enjoy a delicious lunch at a local house. Before heading back to Luang Prabang, take a rest or the chance to go swimming

DAY 4 Nong Khiaw

Today's highlightsVisit Pak Ou Cave

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Your itinerary this morning will depart from Luang Prabang heading north along the Mekong River. Starting with Pak Ou Caves, home to several thousand Buddha statues that gaze silently out over the Mekong. After that, float downstream to Wat Done Khoune temple built on a sandbar island with monks in saffron-orange robes wandering peacefully around the intriguing island shrine. Enjoy your luxurious lunch before returning to the riverboat to depart to Nong Khiaw, where you’ll stay overnight. 
 

DAY 5 Houaphanh

Today's highlightsExplore the least visited provinces of Laos

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today, you will take the road to the unknown Houaphanh Province and Nam Et - Phou Louey National Protected Area. There are both rare animals such as tigers, gaur, Sambar deer, etc and ethnic Khmu, Hmong and Tai Daeng who produce one of the best woven textiles of Laos living around here. At the end of afternoon, arrive in the small town of Muang Hiem for an overnight stay in a guesthouse.

DAY 6 Houaphanh

Today's highlightsNam Nern Night Safari

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

This morning, you'll arrive at the Khmu village Ban Son Khoua by minivan to learn about their daily life, animist traditions, and village spirits. After that, embark on a journey on the Nam Nern river by long-tail boat to have lunch and witness the evidence of wildlife. Finally, sharing dinner around a campfire while listening to the Khmu folktales and stories about dragons, wildlife, and ghosts. Also you can spot wild animals here.

DAY 7 Houaphanh

Today's highlightsExplore the a major settlement during the Secret War

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Early morning, walk around the jungle in Nam Nern Park, discover which was once a major settlement during the Secret War and learn about medicinal plants. After breakfast, relax on the boats on the way back to the core zone while the guides point out wildlife along the way. You’ll return to Ban Son Khoua village at mid-morning and then back to Nong Khiaw by road for an overnight stay. 

DAY 8 Muang Ngoi

Today's highlightsA short walk from Ban Hat Chanh to Muong Ngoi

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

After taking a private boat to Muang Ngoi, stop off in the village of Ban Hat Chanh to relax and take a stroll through the village area. In the village you will be greeted by children and the villagers and may have a chance to see an elderly man making Bamboo baskets or the blacksmith at his work. Lunch is included. Overnight in Muang Ngoi.

DAY 9 Oudomxay

Today's highlightsVisit the Muang Ngoi Viewpoint

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today, you will walk through farmland and coffee plantations to the top of Pha Noy Hill where you can enjoy the stunning views of the town and surrounding countryside and Nam Our River before descending down the trail. Transfer by private car to Nam Kat Ylo Pa Park, your base for the next two nights.

DAY 10 Oudomxay

Today's highlightsHalf day jungle hiking tour in Nam Kat Yola Pa Park

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Opened in 2016, Namkat Yorla Pa, occupies the protected forestry area along the Nam Kat River, is one of the most popular ecotourism destinations in Laos. Upon arrival, take a deep breath of fresh air and relax in the peaceful natural environment before a journey going deep into the forest, on narrow, winding trails until you reach a waterfall where you can take a fresh swim before returning to the resort.

DAY 11 Luang Prabang

Today you will take bullet train back to Luang Prabang. Arrival in Luang Prabang's station, transfer to your hotel to check-in then free
