You’re experiencing one of the best Thailand elephant tours in which you get to know the sweetest and most intelligent creatures in the world. In 19 days, you know how the elephant has a close relationship with Thai people and their important role in Thai society for thousands of years. The trip includes 6 nights at the Elephant Natural Park. With the help of elephant experts and mahouts, you find out problems facing Thai elephants today, feed them, bathe them, do a variety of tasks concerned with elephant care, and experience their daily life in their natural habitat. Your tour starts from Bangkok where you get insight into Thai culture, then continues to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai for unforgettable elephant experiences, and finishes in Phuket where you relax in a luxurious private pool village and laze on the sun-drenched beach. No wonder, this is one of the most striking journeys in our Thailand tours.
Arrive in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand and one of the most visited cities in the world. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to meet your private guide and driver who will privately transfer you to your hotel to check-in.
In Bangkok, you will stay at the Chakrabongse Villas - a gem of metropolitan Bangkok, sitting elegantly on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.
This morning, head to Bangkok's historic town, Rattanakosin which straddles the Chao Phraya River to visit the regal Grand Palace, built-in 1782, the awe-inspiring beauty of Wat Phra Kaew, as well as the traditional learning center Wat Pho.
In the afternoon, relax in your charming room or explore Bangkok on your own. Go to Rajnee pier to board a ferry if you want to visit the riverside attractions.
Take a flight north today to Chiang Mai, a colorful region of hill-valleys, mighty rivers, magnificent temples, and fascinating hill-tribe villages. Upon arriving at the airport, you will be transferred privately to Rachamankha Hotel to check-in.
A local guide will meet you in the evening to take you to Chiang Mai Night Bazaar - one of the most fascinating night markets in Thailand. This night market is a hive of activity after dark - where stall after stall serves up local handicrafts, souvenirs, irresistible street food, and drinks of every kind, making it a great place for a relaxing stroll at night. Stop at a local restaurant where you will try specialties in the local cuisine.
This morning, you’ll set off to Chiang Mai Elephant Nature Park. Though elephant sanctuaries can be found across Thailand, this park is a far cry from others. It’s like a healing haven for Asian elephants, where they can roam freely in the wild.
You will stay here for one week to help improve the plight of elephants and make real contributions to Asian elephant conservation.
Volunteering at the park offers an opportunity to engage with beautiful animals that can enrich your life experience.
Every day you will help prepare food for the elephant, feed them, and see the delight they have playing around in their herds. During your stay, you will know about the challenges facing elephant conservation in Thailand and the part that this project plays in the preservation of their herd. Other volunteering activities can include preparing the elephant bathing sites, cutting food from the plantations, and helping with any maintenance tasks around the park. This is a great way to understand and enjoy all parts of the conservation mission, whilst enjoying a place tucked away from the beaten track.
Every day at the Elephant Nature Park you have the same tasks as on Day 5. Your day starts with breakfast at 7:00 am and finishes with dinner at 6:00 pm. From close approaching, we learn about elephant families and how they make friends. We also find out how these magnificent creatures think, play, and react in their natural habitat.
After some days at the park, you’ll know why volunteer programs that we are providing are the best Chiang Mai Thailand elephant tours. Here, the elephants are just elephants instead of a logger or an entertainer roaming the street performing tricks to beg for food and money. Despite the fact that many of them were abused in the past, none of them show any signs of stress. They are free-roaming in the wild and playful swimming in the river at the place now they call Home.
During your volunteer week, you won’t just care for elephants. The park has hundreds of rescued dogs and cats that you’ll be happy to lend a hand for help. They’re all clean, well-fed, and healthy.
Every day, we meet volunteers and visitors from all over the world who want to make a difference to the elephant just like us. We’re fed with a large buffet lunch and dinner with many different dishes to choose and fall asleep to the sound of elephants calling.
Another day in our volunteer program and another good day in which we can help the animal that we love. Though many of our tasks are not directly with the elephants, they are usually around us and let us approach to make friends. When we’re not working, we can relax at the viewing platform where we can observe all of the elephants in the park.
Apart from our everyday tasks, we still have leisure time to enjoy social life as sipping a cup of cocktail in the bar on site, being with awesome volunteers at all ages, or exploring the nearby village to learn more about local life.
Enjoy the most of your day because it’s the last day you’re with the elephant. In the morning, you’ll walk with the elephants again to see them roaming in the open pasture then return to the park to feed and bathe them the last time. After a week, we’ve known all the elephants so well that we can distinguish them by their shape and attitude.

After lunch, say goodbye to these highly intelligent and loving elephants. A private car will drive us back to the city center.
Leave early in the morning to visit the sacred mountain temple Wat Doi Suthep. It was built gorgeously in the 14th century when Chiang Mai was the center of the Lanna Kingdom. Enjoy a unique blessing and witness the chanting monks- an awe-inspiring and exotic experience that goes some way in reflecting the significance of religion and monkhood in Thai society.
Back to the hotel for breakfast. After that, you continue to Wat Si Suphan - the Silver Temple. Built around 1500, the temple is completely covered by silver from the Buddha statues to the roof and walls. Set off for a short drive to Wat Chedi Luang. This ancient temple was once the home of the Emerald Buddha that is now held in Bangkok's Wat Phra Kaew. Finish your morning with a walk through a local market where most of the produce has come straight from the farm.
This morning, we’ll head out to Chiang Rai for the next elephant experience. We’ll stop on the way to visit Wat Rong Khun - the iconic white temple in the north of Thailand. This contemporary architecture was created by a local visual artist and painter Chalermchai Kositpipat. It is filled with striking architectural symbolism from its white color, intricate use of the mirror, a sea of hands, to giant tusks on the sides of the bridge that represent the desires in mind.
After lunch at a local restaurant, get back in the car to drive to Anantara Golden Triangle. This elegant camp is perched on a hillside with sweeping views of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.
Being an award-winning elephant camp, Anantara Golden Triangle provides a highly acclaimed elephant experience for animal lovers. A unique camp of mahouts and elephants offers a chance to learn about Asian elephant history and culture through two one-of-a-kind elephant experiences that you can choose one from:
Elephant Learning Experience: A great chance to ask an elephant expert all that you want to know about the elephant. Then take the opportunity to spend time with the rescued animal: feeding them, taking photos, observing their behavior, and learning how they communicate.
Walking with Giants: Walk and interact with the elephants and their mahouts as you’re wandering through the forest. Observe their behavior in their natural habitat and watch them playing joyfully during their bath time.

Lek and Anan were both incredible tour guides in Bangkok, both the street food tour and temple tours were about as awesome as we could have hoped for! All the resorts were perfect, all of the small touches (champagne and roses in one room, honeymoon deserts in another) just really made the trip amazing, Thanks so much to everyone involved. Lacey helped me plan our 16 day vacation that included a seaplane, a 2 night cruise on Halong Bay, sightseeing in Hanoi and multi-city tour of Thailand with amazing guides and activities including getting a tattoo in Bangkok. She booked an incredible personalized itinerary. Every detail was perfect and travel was easy every step of the way. Lacey went the extra mile when we were undecided if we should postpone our trip. It was agonizing and she was patient, calm and reassuring. When we were not satisfied with our room, she took care of it and solved it immediately. She was very professional and responsive. I would recommend Exotic Voyages to anyone who wants to have a well planned worry free vacation! Great team!READ MORE

A very big compliment to Ha Vy, Mai Phuong, and everybody involved in setting up our Thailand itinerary. From the moment our first tour guide Patrick picked us up at the Laem Chabang cruise port (near Bangkok), until the last day, 14 days later, when we were guided through Bangkok Airport, to transfer from domestic to international check in, every moment we spent under "the wings" of Exotic Voyages was remarkably well organized. Thanks to local tour guides we discovered the real Thailand, local cultures, food and markets, not Tourist traps! All tour guides during our private tour were well english spoken and have an excellent knowledge of every corner in Thailand. All the Hotels Exotic Voyage have booked for us were 5 star, well selected and centrally located to the places we wanted to see. I can certainly highly recommend Exotic Voyages to everybody who wants to discover the REAL Thailand! Thank you for an excellent job done!READ MORE

My girlfriend and I booked a 20-day tour in Thailand with Exotic Voyages from mid January to mid February 2020. Their interface was very easy to use - we had to specify a budget, the types of things we were interested in doing on vacation, and when we wanted to go...from that information, our planner at Exotic put together a pretty detailed itinerary spanning 5 cities in 20 days. Everything was taken care of (drivers, guides, accomodations) - in many ways, this was the least effort either of us have ever put into a vacation. Our planner, Ha, put together things that we probably never would have thought to try, but were fabulous (ex: staying at a boutique camp on top of a mountain in Khao Sok, a traditional Thai cooking class that turned out to be a full day activity). The accommodations were great. And at the end of the trip, when our flight home was cancelled due to the coronavirus issue, the operational support team helped us find a place to stay in Phuket longer and arranged transportation for us. I highly recommend this group.READ MORE
