What do you say about a private guided tour that covers all the beauty and the differences of the North and South of Vietnam? Discover what makes this country so special and intriguing. Here we offer you deep insight into variations of culture, lifestyle and even the people.
Welcome to Saigon, the most dynamic cultural hub of Southern Vietnam. After checking in at your hotel, the rest of the day is for you to spend as you wish.
Today, you will enjoy a joining trip exploring Cu Chi Tunnels with totally new experiences, by boat! Embark on your speed boat from Ho Chi Minh City’s pier; your English-speaking guide will introduce you to life along the banks of the Saigon River as your boat gracefully slips through knots of floating water hyacinths on this scenic one-hour boat trip. After a short documentary, your guide will lead you through the historic Cu Chi Tunnels, dug by resourceful guerrilla fighters to provide communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters during numerous conflicts. A traditional Vietnamese lunch of local specialties like lemongrass chicken and caramelized clay pot pork will be served after your visit to the tunnels.
Once back in the city, take a stroll to major sights such as the colonial Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office, the Opera House, Dong Khoi Street and more. After that, visit the Emperor of Jade Pagoda OR Fito Museum - the first private museum in Vietnam, where you will discover many documents and information about traditional Vietnamese medicine.
In the evening, you’ll take a scooter ride through this hectic but beautiful metropolis to discover how Ho Chi Minh City nightlife unfolds and taste some local Vietnamese street food.
In the morning you will depart from Ho Chi Minh City to explore Ben Tre in the Mekong delta, also known as the “Green Venice” of Vietnam. After visiting a brick factory in Phong Nam where bricks are still hand-made, step onto a boat for a cruise along the Chet Say river. You will make several stops along the way to discover different local workshops, allowing you to understand better the specialities of the local economy. The boat will then cross a small canal and stop at a small village, where you will continue your discovery of the delta by visiting a workshop specializing in carpet-weaving. You will even be able to try this activity yourself, before hopping in a xe loi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) or on a bicycle to wander around the village. You will see traditional farms, rice fields and vegetable plants, before stopping at a small local restaurant to taste a delicious (and generous) lunch made of regional specialties, such as “elephant-ear fish” and freshwater shrimps.
In the afternoon you will get back on the sampan for some leisure time along the narrow canals. You will travel back to Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City by car to take your late afternoon flight to Danang.
In the early morning, visit a local fish market, along the Thu Bon River. It is ideal to wander through these streets by foot or ride around on a bike. You can see a different picture of Hoi An with very few tourists and shops open. Take a boat trip along the Thu Bon river to enjoy the quite atmosphere on this poetic river before trying a local breakfast of Hoi An at a local restaurant.
After that, you will ride your bicycles into the Cam Thanh countryside, you will ride across the plains of flooded rice fields and have the opportunity to observe picturesque scenes of the local's daily life with a background of verdant countryside. After arriving at the local boat pier, you will board a boat to the seaport of Cua Dai, at the mouth of the Thu Bon River, which runs through Hoi An. You're going to paddle out in “basket boats” into the mangrove forest and try to maneuver the boat yourself. You will have lunch with local dishes that are carefully prepared by the fishermen at a local family’s house afterwards.
In the afternoon, you visit Hoi An Ancient Town - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The place offers you a glimpse into what a Southeast Asian trade center looked like hundreds of years ago. Meander down narrow lanes framed by many old houses and see local people trading at the market, visit the famous Japanese Bridge, the Chinese Temple and Tan Ky Trading House. Discover the harmony of Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese and French architectural elements in this fascinating town.
You have the whole day to discover Hoi An, in any way you see fit.
After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Danang Airport for your morning flight to Hanoi.
Today, you will have lunch at the very authentic Viet cuisine restaurant then continue your day with a visit to the Temple of Literature also known as the “First University of Vietnam”. Now staged in venues or local theatres, this folkloric and enchanting performance consists of a succession of scenes evoking images of daily life and legends, accompanied by traditional music.

Annie (Yen) Hong helped me plan a 10 day Vietnam trip with my son during August 2019. Annie was very professional, had great ideas and recommendations, and was extremely attentive to our needs both before and during out trip. While no trip goes off perfect, she was able to adjust to various issues such as weather, and help make our trip great. I would definitely recommend using exotic voyages, and Annie in particular!READ MORE

This is the second time I've used EV and they did not disappoint! Back in 2012 they organised my whole trip - hotels/drivers/flights/visas/guides etc. This time I used Air bnb for some of my trip and Annie helped me connect the dots. Annie was so helpful and understanding of my needs, she's very patient! She really will help you create the trip you really want, her inside knowledge is absolutely golden and she was always on hand if I had any problems. She provided a really efficient safe and trust worthy service. All the services Annie recommended were highly professional and we were shielded from a lot of stress and harassment that foreigners can sometimes experience. We had a great trip and plan to returning next year. Hopefully Annie can help us organise that!READ MORE

Tran Hoa helped us from the planning stage, to choosing individual activities, and modifying our itinerary several times. During the trip we were always met on time by excellent guides, everything was as expected, and the quality and standards were always up to par. I would use them again and recommend them wholeheartedly.READ MORE

I spent 12 days in Vietnam, planned by Exotic Voyages. Great communication from start to finish by Diep including a gift of coffee during my first day in Hanoi. As a first time visitor to Vietnam, I was pleased with the entire schedule and the people they use locally for guides and trips are first rate. The entire trip from Hanoi to HCMC was flawless. Having been introduced to Vietnam by Exotic Voyages, I will use their services again when I return to Vietnam for a more in depth exploration of the country.READ MORE
