Together Is Our Favorite Place To Be

"Happiness is planning a trip to somewhere new, with someone you love."

Thailand’s flavor is like no other place in the world. It’s an unusual mix of East meets West, of extremely ancient and ultra-modern. It’s Buddhist and monarchy and capitalist and socialization. Its flavor is exactly like the taste of its cuisine: a vivid mix of hot, sour, salty, and sweet all at once.

During the last two years, we have just stayed home and shared the same dream of exploring the tropical climate and discovering exotic tastes in the Far East that we always rave about. But our dream is now a reality. After a long wait, the return of Southeast Asia traveling is very exciting. And Thailand is the first country in the region that break the ice.

Perfect beach escapes, marvelous temples or wats, fabulous food, warm weather, Bangkok nightlife, national parks, natural reserves, smiley people, reasons why travelers keep coming back to Thailand seem never to stop.

Chelsea and William are our first clients traveling Thailand after this country approved quarantine-free entry to tourists. They gave us a great chance to escort them through the best destinations in Thailand in their 14-day honeymoon vacation.

Before their flight, we had come back and forth to work on Exotic Voyages' best-seller Thailand honeymoon itinerary until we were both satisfied with a perfect one that included their bucket list items, local attractions, unique activities while seeing hidden gems that only locals know. Couldn’t say enough how happy we were to welcome them at the airport after their long-haul flight.

Chelsea and William’s first stop was Bangkok. Their first adventure was on the Mae Klong Railway Market, a wet market where vendors sitting right next to the railway line selling all kinds of food. It’s interesting to see how quickly the stalls and awnings were withdrawn as soon as the train passed through and came close to the vendors. Later, they embarked on a teak boat and floated down hidden canals to visit  Damnoen Saduak floating market where vendors floated their small boat selling local products and cooking Pad Thai right in the boat.

It was an enjoyable time exploring all aspects of the energetic city like a local with Peak, their private guide. Growing up in Bangkok, he gained a lot of compliments from Chelsea and William for his knowledge and friendliness.

Chelsea and William traveled the mighty Chaopraya River. You can see Wat Arun, a must-see attraction in Bangkok, in the distance, behind them.

They went ashore to see Wat Arun or the Temple of Dawn. They had a few days full of activities but all were "well planned and help make sure we were able to make the most of our time here," they said.

Chiang Mai was one of the most magical stops in Chelsea and William’s trip. Their private guide at Chiang Mai was Pat. He showed them around the most beautiful landmarks of the old town, from Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, city temples, the oldest and most well-known Kad Luang market to the old Tha Phae Gate where they took some of the stunning photos in wedding suits. They loved all the activities but what impressed them most was the hike to Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand. The ever-cool atmosphere and diverse wildlife in the national park made the hike very enjoyable and memorable. Along the trek, they visited the spectacular Pha Dok Siew Waterfall, met with the Karen hill tribe, and observed the beautiful places where they live.

The couple was getting a blessing from a Buddhist monk at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of northern Thailand's most sacred temples.

Just like a Mark Twain's saying: "To get the full value of joy, you must have someone to divide it with." Our beautiful clients are sharing their joy and happiness at the Tha Phae Gate, Chiang Mai.

One of the best ways to get to know Thailand is through its mouth-watering cuisine. Chelsea and William had two gastronomic tours during their journey so they might know Thai food better than many visitors.

While the food tour in Bangkok in a tuk-tuk was quite adventurous because of the busy traffic in the city, the tour in Chiang Mai was more relaxing. They visited a night market where food stalls were lined up along both sides of the streets displaying a wide variety of take-away delectable dishes. The sight, smell, and sound of the market generated other sensory experiences, enticing people to touch, smell, and sample.

The journey continued with a visit to a local restaurant for some more tasty dishes. Strikingly contrast to dining at a fancy restaurant where is usually smell-free with minimal noise, Chelsea and William savored a wide range of Thai specialties accompanied by the loud cries of their vendors, the smell of different kinds of food from the kitchen, and the lively chatter of diners. All together presented an interesting ambience of Chiang Mai nightlife.

"The meals that were a part of the guided days were all delicious. We liked being able to try different foods from different regions of the country", they wrote on an email to us.

Swap Chiang Mai for the beach paradise. Chelsea and William flew to southern Thailand where they spent the last four days in Koh Yao Noi and Phuket to finish their honeymoon in laid-back luxury. Sit perfectly in the area of the magnificent Andaman Sea, their beautiful villas offered the most magical sunset and exceptional service to make sure they have pure post-wedding bliss.

The blissful Andaman Sea where Chelsea and William chose to be the last stop of their honeymoon vacation. “All of the hotels you selected were up to our standards and very comfortable. We appreciated the different resorts and felt each place brought something special to the table”, said Chelsea.

Happiness is planning a trip to somewhere new, with someone you love. That’s happiness Chelsea and William had in their honeymoon vacation. They went, saw, and experienced the world together. And we feel grateful to be given the opportunity to create their happy memories.
