Located on Ly Quoc Su, one of the busiest streets in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, Mad Botanist is a place that you’d want to keep secret from everyone. Mad Botanist may have the best gin collection in Hanoi. Its drink menu is a heaven for gin lovers with over 100 varieties of Gin & Tonic, categorised by country of origin. A Gin Tasting Menu offers selections up to 8 different gins. If you are not a fan of gin, the bartender will certainly serve up any other great cocktail, plus ample offerings of wines and beers. 2. The Alchemist Cocktail Bar
This bar is a hidden gem inside an old house with classic French architecture. Doesn’t have a sign, it may confuse or misdirect some visitors who first come. The first floor is another bar, you have to go through it to see a staircase, which leads you to the second floor where the Alchemist is located.

The Alchemist is made up of two spaces. The outside has a classic European style with big brown leather sofas, while the trendy inside brings a romantic atmosphere with lovely candlelit tables. With a true love and thoughtful understanding of the art of mixology, the owner of Alchemist has created a place for cocktail lovers to gather, share the same passion, and indulge a collection of 500 brands of spirits and liqueurs. 3. Sunset Bar, Intercontinental Hotel

The drink menu is limited, but their six pages of cocktails are well mixed to keep you feeling good all evening. Vinoteca Night takes place one a month. This is an exclusive night designed for wine lovers with a selection of 6 fine wines. And one more thing: don’t expect a cheap drink. You’ll be drinking at a five-star hotel bar, and of course, considering its prime location, it’s definitely worth the extra money.

5. La Plume Bar&Lounge
If you are looking for a space that is lavish but cozy and relaxing, this place is for you. The posh La Plume is located on the most expensive street of Hanoi, in the heart of the Press Club – a vibrant meeting place of the old city for years. 6. Summit Bar
