DAY 1 Luang Prabang

Welcome to Luang Prabang, the former capital of Laos. This city is brimming with ancient temples, colorful local markets, and Mekong River boat rides but less of the hustle and bustle of an urban center.

DAY 2 Luang Prabang

Today's highlightsVisit the Royal Palace - Exploring the old city

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Take a full-day tour to visit the glittering Royal Palace, the famous Kuang Sy Waterfall for a refreshing swim, and remarkably well-preserved temples, including Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Visoun, Wat Phou, and Wat Aham. Lunch at a local restaurant near the waterfall. Late afternoon, you’ll go to Hmong Night Market, a bustling attraction in the center of Luang Prabang renowned for its variety of traditional crafts, food, and ingredients.

DAY 3 Luang Prabang

Today's highlightsGet a glimpse into monastic life through Tak Bak rituals

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

This morning, you’ll explore the daily ritual of Tak Bak when monks collect alms and day’s food in the silence of the dawn. Then, visit a local market to get a taste of Lao cuisine and relax by the Mekong River. Continue with Ban Xang Khong Village and Muang Keo Village to observe Lao craftsmanship and have lunch at the village. Returning to Luang Prabang at sunset.

DAY 4 Luang Prabang

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Explore more about Luang Prabang on your own. In the late afternoon, you’ll be transferred north to the peaceful village of Ban Lae where you’ll stay for the next 2 nights. Have dinner, experience the heartwarming hospitality of a local Lao family and overnight.

DAY 5 Luang Prabang

Today's highlightsLocal Tak Bat for a different point of view

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Join the villagers at dawn for a local Tak Bat ceremony. Then, walking back to your homestay to enjoy a delicious breakfast before taking a tour around the village in which you’ll learn about daily farming activities and traditional music. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat ride on the Ban Xeung River and stop by the bank to observe the locals panning for gold in their traditional method.

DAY 6 Vientiane

Returning to Luang Prabang to catch a short flight to Vientiane, the sleepy capital city of Lao. Check-in at your boutique hotel which is located right in the heart of the city.

DAY 7 Vientiane

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

This morning, explore the highlights of the city including Wat Sisaket - a Buddhist monastery, Wat Ho Phra Keo - which houses Lao’s collection of Buddhist sculptures and artifacts, Pha That Luang - where enshrine a Buddha relic, Patuxay - the French-inspired Arc de Triomphe. After lunch, visit Buddha Park which contains over 200 sculptures of Buddha, humans, animals, and demons. Enjoy a refreshing drink by the Mekong River before heading back to your hotel.

DAY 8 Vientiane

Meals: Breakfast

At the right time, transfer with your guide to the airport for your return flight home.
