Shangri-La

Since the region of Shangri La first appeared in the 'Lost Horizon' 1939 of the British novelist James Hilton, it has been associated with the imagination of a wonderland which couldn't even exist on earth. Shangri-La is the 'Eden in dream' where the continuous snowy mountain ranges, immense grasslands, wondrous lakes and georgic villages never fail to charm. Shangri La means the 'sun and moon in heart'. There is a Chinese saying 'The earliest sunrise is seen in Shangri-La; and the most unique place is also there'. You will definitely appreciate the meaning of the saying once you visit Shangri-La. The welcoming culture of the residents of 26 ethnic groups will offer a feel at home, and at heart.
