Lumbini - Nepal

Go Lumbini and let us tell you about the tale of this sacred city. Located in Nepalese border area with India, Lumbini is one of 4 Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the legend of Gautama Buddha’s life and listed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and 'Fountain of World Peace' by World Buddhist Foudation. The three other pilgrimage sites includes Bodh Gaya, Sarnath, and Kushinagar. On the way searching the good old Nepal from time to time, we’re taking you visit the Ashokan Pillar, an inscribed pillar erected by Emperor Ashoka (249 BC) on the spot of Buddha’s birth, the Japanese Peace Stupa and a lot of antique Buddhist temples like the Dharma Swami Maharaja or the Lumbini Buddha Vihar. The best way to explore this marvelous land is to hire a bike then you get around the temples. Lumbini is such a great place to learn something more about the legends of Buddhism while soaking in an idyllic peaceful atmosphere of this very own land.
