Mount Fuji, located on Honshu island, is the highest mountain in Japan (3776 meters). Nearly perfect shaped volcano, Mount Fuji is considered a scared place and very popular among artists, poets and of course travelers. It is an active volcano with the last erupt in 1707. On clear days, it could be seen from Tokyo and Yokohama. Another way to enjoy the view of Fuji is taking the bullet train from Tokyo to either Nagoya, Kyoto and Osaka. The Shin-Fuji station is where you get the best view of the mountain.
