What a way to start the day with a cup of Japanese green tea at the peaceful Hamarikyu garden, the former private garden of an Edo Period Lord. Then you embark on a short Sumida River cruise before heading to the temple of Senso-ji in Asakusa to complete the morning. The famous Meiji Shrine, Harajuku and Omote-Sando area, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building are the highlights for the rest of your day.

You can explore Tokyo better, visit Tsukji Fish Market and surrounding restaurants in Tsukushima, take a cruise down the Sumida River to Odaiba the island of gaming and multi-media, or watch a show at the Kabuki-za Theatre in Ginza. Otherwise, you can choose to go on an optional day trip to the beautiful Nikko, or to Kamakura to see the giant Buddha statue. Other offers are Sumo practice watching and the tour of tasting 100 kinds of Sake (Japanese wine) with finger food.

Hakone is a popular weekend retreat destination of Japanese people located in beautiful nature close to the iconic Mount Fuji and your today’s destination. In a day, prepare to get a treat of a scenic cruise from Lake Ashi to a beautiful area of colorful hot springs and nature. In the evening, you relax at a lovely ryokan (Japanese boutique hotel) coming along with the traditional full-course meal.

You go on a bullet train drive to Kyoto and get the information for a self-guided day by your Customer Service Assistant. In the afternoon, join a tea ceremony at a traditional restored wooden house where you try on Japanese traditional dress kimono. A leisure walk through Gion area offers a glimpse of geisha (a kind Japanese artist) in this pretty narrow valley. Optional tours are Calligraphy Lesson, Cooking Experience, Dinner with Maiko (a kind of Japanese artist).

We take you to the most famous spots around this charming city such as the Nijo Castle, Ryoanji UNESCO-protected World Heritage zen gardens, Kinkakuji hosted many films and novels. Proceed to Sagano, we will walk through the lush bamboo grove heading to Tenryu-Ji, Jajkko-Ju temples. Your day ends looking at the stunning views of Hozu river on the famous Togetsukyo Bridge.

Free day. You can visit Nara, a nearby location dated even older than Kyoto. Take a temple tour and visit the outstanding Todaiji the ‘power spot’ claiming responsibility for inciting many of historical figures to action. Options for this evening are calligraphy lesson and home cooking experience.

You depart from Kyoto. Do a little souvenir shopping, maybe find yourself a kimono before heading to Kansai Airport.
