Day 1. Siem Reap arrival (D)

Upon your arrival at Siem Reap international airport, warmly welcome by our guides and staffs. Afterward, getting on private buses which are waiting for you. Fresh towels and water will be prepared and served on buses by service personnels.

Transfer to the hotel via Angkor Road.

Enjoy welcome drink upon arrival at the hotel. Rooms are at disposal from 2pm only.

Evening

Dinner by the hotel pool entertained by the famous Battambang circus, provided if it doesn’t rain.

Having developed its reputation in Cambodia over the years, this extraordinary troup regularly tours the world using its earnings to help underprivileged children in Battambang province build their artistic skills in the areas of music, theatre, visual arts, animation and of course the art of circus. This delightful circus delivers an impressive and very funny performance.

Day 2. Angkor Wat – Ta Prohm (B, L,D)

Morning

Early morning transfer to Angkor for Sunrise and then, visit the most impressive religious monument ever built by human beings.

It is one of the most extraordinary monuments ever conceived of by the human spirit, built in the 12th century (1112-1152) and dedicated to Vishnu.

Its mightiness and magnificence bespeak a pomp and a luxury surpassing that of a Pharaoh or a Shah Jahan, an impressiveness greater than that of the Pyramids, an artistic distinctiveness as fine as that of the Taj Mahal.

Advice: When visiting the sites of Angkor, make sure you have good comfortable shoes and a hat.

Then come back at hotel for breakfast.

Freely to take rest until departure for an afternoon excursion.

Afternoon

Lunch at the hotel restaurant.

In the middle afternoon (to avoid the heat), departure to Angkor where you will have short bycicle ride in the Angkor forest environment to join the famous temple of Ta Prohm - also called ‘Brahma Ancestor’, a temple-monastery dating from the end of 12th century and built under the reign of Jayavarman VII. Its mysterious atmosphere is without equal. This marvellous piece of architecture is found in the hands of nature, as tree roots and branches have taken hold of it, marrying delicately with its stone.

Visit of the temple, and come back to hotel.

Evening

Transfer by private vehicle to Mme Butterfly for enjoying dinner.

Day 3. Banteay Srei – Angkor Thom (B,L,D)

Morning

After breakfast at the hotel, we leave for Banteay Srei where a most impressive jewel of Khmer art exists.

Erected in the 10th century, this small pink sandstone temple known as the Citadel of Women maintains some remarkable sculptured lintels in very good condition. André Malraux made this temple famous in 1923 when he returned some Apsara heads having previously removed them.

Afternoon

Lunch at Kanell restaurant with the Khmer specialties.

In the middle afternoon, depart by tuk-tuk to discover Angkor Thom which is undeniably an expression of the highest genius. It is in three dimensions and on a scale worthy of an entire nation, the materialization of Buddhist cosmology, representing ideas that only great painters would dare to portray.

The tuk-tuk is a very amusing and pleasant form of local transport. To avoid crowding, groups might be spread across the various temples at Angkor Thom.

Evening

Dinner at Chez Viroth’s restaurant.

Day 4. Siem Reap – Kompong Khleang floating village (B,L,D)

Morning

Breakfast at the hotel.

Then on an excursion to the Kompong Kleang floating village located on the northern lake-edge about 35 km east of Siem Reap town, more remote and less tourist than other floating villages. All the local boats will be arranged with our own pillows and decoration for your most convenient. Meet with friendly villagers, local monks… and you will see smiles on everybody’s face.

Attention

- In the event of a very low water level, the boat ride may not eventuate.

- Depending on the time of the tour, we could replace the visit to Kampong Khleang with a visit to Kompong Pluk.

Afternoon

Enjoy a pinic lunch at the village before heading back to Siem Reap.

Return to the hotel for relaxation by the middle afternoon.

Evening

Private dinner at Athakong house - a stylish traditional house in wood in the countryside. You will appreciate an interesting show of Traditional Khmer dance.

Day 5. Siem Reap – Depart (B,L)

Morning

Breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Free time at leisure for last visiting Angkor Park or shopping for sourvernir. Transfer to the airport for flight home.
